I’m very excited because we finally purchased a larger artificial tree this year, that will better accommodate our growing collection of ornaments. (We had the same little 5’ tree for 10 years!) I love our ornament collection, with so many memories and stories to share each December. Thanks for reminding us that this is a precious and godly act of gratitude for God’s blessings.
I love thinking about the Christmas tree as a means of remembering! We just unpacked all our ornament treasures last week and the kids were so delighted. Just another example of how we're hard-wired for remembering, thanks Sarah!
I love this! Our tree is the same. Two of our kids are grown and have their own families. Every year I think I may change it, but I can’t bring myself to do it. As they have taken some of their ornaments to add them to their tree the ornaments are replaced with ornaments for our grandkids.
I love this reminder 😉 of the importance and value of rememberence.
Once upon a time I attempted to decorate our tree in a way that was Instagram worthy(before IG was even a thing.) But, like you noted of your tree, I've grown to value the story our tree tells, the memories held on its branches of years gone by. It's far more beautiful now. 🎄

A bigger tree to fit more memories! I love that!
What a great idea, I never thought of my Christmas tree like this. Love it!
Thank you! I hope looking at your Christmas tree this way encourages you!

Yes! I love rediscovering all of our ornaments every year!

Keep remembering!
Oh, I love that! In looking forward to having ornaments to hang made by grandchildren one day ... Wow!
This was great Sarah! Crazy how often we struggle with a kind of spiritual amnesia.
Thanks, Drew!

Yes!! And it's definitely a "beauty in the eyes of the beholder" situation sometimes 😄
I love that word picture!
